Board your coach for your overnight journey across the channel where your Adelboden adventure awaits!
As you arrive in Adelboden, you’ll be met by your Venture Abroad Representative who will give you a tour of the site and make sure you have everything you need to settle in. Explore the surrounding area and get your bearings or chill out after your journey at the local open-air pool!
Strap on your walking boots and make your way to Engstligenalp, admiring the beautiful alpine scenery as you go. Stop off for a picnic before heading back to Adelboden where you can spend the remainder of the day exploring the picturesque village.
Take a train ride to the other side of the valley to explore Kandersteg and make a visit to Kandersteg International Scout Centre. In the afternoon, take the cable car up to Öschinensee and enjoy a swim in the crystal clear lake. Have a go on the thrilling summer toboggan before returning to Adelboden for the evening.
Today, your group will have the chance to visit the WAGGGS World Centre, Our Chalet – a highlight for many groups travelling to Adelboden. Following your time at Our Chalet, make your way up to the Woodcarver’s workshop where each member of your group will receive a woggle with your name engraved on it! With new woggles on your neckerchiefs, embark on the Cholorenschlucht hike to admire the stunning gorge before returning to Adelboden for the evening.
Take a boat trip to the beautiful town of Interlaken. Visit the impressive St Beatus Caves, learn the Swiss confectionary secrets at the Schuh Chocolate Show and browse the local shops for souvenirs before returning by boat to Adelboden.
Explore more of the stunning Swiss scenery with a trip to the mighty Trümmelbach Falls. Stand behind the thundering glacier waterfalls and admire this beautiful natural wonder (don’t forget your raincoat!). Return to Adelboden before taking part in the traditional Swiss Evening, complete with yodelling and fondue!
Take the Tschentenalp Cable Car up to 1,940m to admire spectacular views of the Bernese Oberland. Make the descent back down to Adelboden village and spend the remainder of your final day at leisure.
Say ‘Adieu’ to Switzerland and begin your return coach journey to the UK.
Your group will have sole occupancy of a traditional Swiss chalet that can accommodate up to 32 people. Self-catering facilities give your group the flexibility to plan your meals to fit in with your daily activities.
