Welcome to Sangam, where Girl Guides join from all over the world to learn about the cultures and traditions of India, form international friendships and develop their understanding of WAGGGS global initiatives.

A daily programme of events and activities will introduce you to the traditions of this vibrant country and give you a rewarding experience like no other. Whilst staying in Sangam, your group will take part in community projects, learn all about the global importance of WAGGGS, connect with members from around the world and spark a love of international travel.     • 7 nights’ full board accommodation at Sangam (based on dormitory-style accommodation sharing with other session participants)

  • Sample Itinerary

    Day 1

    Fly from London Heathrow to Mumbai where you will take a transfer to your hotel. Enjoy an evening meal before settling into your accommodation for the night.

    Day 2

    Embark on a morning tour of Mumbai: visit the Mumbai Harbour waterfront to admire the iconic Gateway of India stone arch, explore the ancient cave temples of Elephanta Island and sample your first taste of Indian cuisine. Following your tour, board your coach for your journey to Sangam.

    Day 3 – 8

    Enjoy a 6-day programme at Sangam World Centre. Immerse yourself in Indian culture, dance, fashion and food, and join rewarding community projects whilst connecting with Guides from all over the world.

    Day 9

    Today, you will leave Sangam and take an internal flight from Pune to Delhi where you will stay overnight.

    Day 10

    Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi before travelling by coach to Agra.

    Day 11

    Today begins with an early start (and well worth it!) as you embark on a Sunrise Tour of the Taj Mahal. Watch as the rising sun floods the magnificent palace with a beautiful morning light – this is truly the best way to admire the Taj Mahal! You will then visit the impressive Agra Fort before travelling back to Delhi and make the most of your final evening in India at a traditional restaurant.

    Day 12

    Bid farewell to India as you board your return flight to London Heathrow.

  • Accommodation


    Your group will be immersed in the spirit of international Guiding at Sangam. The dormitory-style accommodation and communal dining area provide the opportunity for your unit to mix with groups from different nations. From the indoor chill-out area to the outdoor swimming pool, there’s plenty of space to relax and socialise with friends.
