Post-Annual Meeting Tour 2018 - The Peak District


Prices are per paying passenger and based on 2 people sharing a twin room and a minimum of 30 paying passengers. Single rooms are available upon request and for a supplement.

Monday 18th – Friday 22nd June 2018

Wind down after the Annual Meeting Weekend with five days in England's picturesque pocket of the Peak District.

Staying in the centre of Derby, you will be perfectly based to visit the surrounding points of interest, including Chatsworth house, Bakewell, Haddon Hall and more! This is the perfect way to carry on the fun of the Annual Meeting Weekend with countryside visits and interesting day trips - all in the company of fellow Trefoil Guild members.

Monday 18th June 2018

You will depart Birmingham and travel to Derby, with an en route visit to the National Memorial Arboretum.

Tuesday 19th June 2018

Today, you will visit Haddon Hall, regarded as one of the most romantic houses in Britain with its origins dating back to the 12th century. After strolling through Elizabethan terraced gardens and finding out about the history of the hall, you will then visit Ladybower Reservoir, an area referred to as the 'Lake District of the Peaks'. Enjoy an afternoon stroll around the reservoir, surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Wednesday 20th June 2018

Visit the stately home of Chatsworth House, home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and famous for its rich history and beautiful Victorian gardens. Spend some time wandering around the house before strolling through the grounds and stopping off for afternoon tea.

Thursday 21st June 2018

Step back in time at The National Tramway Museum in Crich and take a tram-ride through to the period village before visiting the old-style sweetshop and the Eagle Press letterpress printing museum. Next, you will visit the pretty market town of Bakewell, known for its local confectionary, Bakewell Pudding!

Friday 22nd June 2018

After breakfast, you will begin your return journey to Birmingham.
