For over 50 years we’ve been helping members of the Trefoil Guild travel all over the world – ranging from Iceland to India and everywhere in between. Having arranged other bespoke trips, Party Leader Maureen added Iceland to Global Group’s list! Travelling in the winter as a group of 22, they chose to stay in both the city and the countryside for a chance to see the Northern Lights, and embarked on Iceland’s iconic Golden Circle Tour. This group show just how much you can achieve in under a week.
Day 1: Flight from the UK and check in to Hotel Cabin in Reykjavik
Day 2: Whale watching and time at leisure
Day 3: Day at leisure to explore Reykjavik
Day 4: Secret Lagoon and the Golden Circle Tour, then check in to Hotel Ork in Hveragerdi
Day 5: LAVA Volcano & Earthquake Centre, followed by the Skogar Folk Museum
Day 6: Flight back to the UK
Back in 2019, 42 members of this London-based guild walked and talked their way around Ypres in Belgium! Opting for 4-day close-to-home trip, they chose to visit Ypres’ most renowned historic sights and cultural hotspots, with time left over to go sightseeing in Bruges.
Day 1: Coach and ferry from Dover to Calais, then coach to Belgium and check in to the Best Western Hotel Pax in Diksmuide
Day 2: Sanctuary Wood Museum (Hill 62) and In Flanders Fields Museum, followed by the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate
Day 3: Canal cruise in Bruges and time at leisure in the city
Day 4: Coach and ferry from Calais to Dover, then coach back home
Switzerland’s always been a favourite with Trefoil Guild members, and Bristol North East Division decided to experience it for themselves. Taking 12 members and staying at Our Chalet, they kept things traditional and opted for one of Our Chalet’s activity packages, building in plenty of scenic hikes and time to explore Adelboden.
Day 1: Flight from the UK to Switzerland and check in to Our Chalet
Day 2: Guided hike to the Woodcarver’s Workshop and Adelboden Town (with free time in both), followed by a traditional Swiss Night at Our Chalet
Day 3: On-site activity day at Our Chalet (Pinning Ceremony, Craft & Scavenger Hunt, Our Chalet Tour & Shop, Magic Tree Hike and Outdoor Games), followed by a campfire at night
Day 4: Flight back to the UK
