Learn about the glacier’s ice, its movement and its rate of retreat and discover a range of fascinating glacial features including crevasses, moulins, erratic blocks, moraines and dirt cones.
With various viewing platforms around the two-tiered waterfall, as well as wooden boardwalks and information boards, you’ll see Gullfoss’ powerful water plummeting 32 metres down into its gorge, with walls that reach up to 70 metres high. When the sun is shining, you can see a shimmering rainbow curving over the falls.
Begin your whale watching adventure at Reykjavik’s old harbour, where you’ll travel out by boat in search of Iceland’s magnificent whales.

Watch Strokkur Geyser erupt, see the plummeting waters of Gullfoss and discover the tectonic plate boundaries of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, before stopping off at the Secret Lagoon
