When you’re not ticking off the city’s historical treasures, you can embark on a journey through Essex’s picturesque countryside aboard the Epping Ongar Railway. The perfect break for members of the Trefoil Guild before the Annual Meeting Weekend.

Get picked up by your coach where you’ll be transported to the Cheshunt Marriott Hotel in Broxbourne.
Following breakfast at your hotel, you’ll depart for the market town of Ongar where you can ride the beautifully resorted Epping Ongar Railway system. Disembark and enjoy the rest of your day, stopping at the oldest wooden church in the world, Greensted Church, and North Weald Airfield Museum. Finish with an evening meal at your hotel.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before heading to the Royal Gunpowder Mills for a look at the fascinating history of gunpowder. In the afternoon you’ll have the chance for a guided tour of Hatfield House, before enjoying the gardens and grounds at your own leisure. Finish with an evening meal at your hotel.
Following breakfast at your hotel, you’ll depart by coach to Southend for the Annual Meeting.
