So it’s been a great last few days with Worcester Explorers and Black Pear Network. They have done so much this week! We’ve had great overnight hikes to three different mountain huts as well as snow and ice workshops. About ten of the Explorers and Network also went on a very exciting paragliding flight, “amazing” was how it was described. It certainly did look amazing and I’ve added it to my list of things to do in Kandersteg!
To round off the week everyone visited the Jungfraujoch today. It was a very early start on the coach followed by the two trains up to the top. They all had a great time sliding around in the ice palace and being blown about on the viewing platform. Although unfortunately we didn’t get much of a view.
Tomorrow I have to say good by to Worcester Explorers and Black Pear Network but luckily get to welcome three new groups too; 1st Hawarden Scouts, 1st Candover Scouts and 3rd Gosport Sea Scouts – look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
