Well today myself and Emily will be waving good bye to Tavistock and Newton Abbot Guides and we know they’ve made an amazing amount of memories!

To finish off their week Tavistock guides travelled to the top of a mountain to see how cheese is made and finished off the week with a traditional Swiss evening.

Newton Abbot guides travelled on the train all the way to the top of Europe where I can vouch it was chilly!

Whilst at the top the girls visited the ice palace and slid around looking at all the sculptures.

It was then my privilege to join the girls on the snow and watch 4 members of the Senior Section receive their Baden Powell Challenge badge. Well done girls! and what a place to receive it

We then of course had to visit the highest Lidt chocolate shop in the world! It was then time to travel back to the chalet but first a stop in Grindelwald where one of the leaders; Jenny had years of memories from her 47 years of guiding (all with Venture Abroad!)

The girls then on reflection of their amazing week presented Sam their leader; the woman who made it possible for them with a gift they’d all bought engraved by the Woodcalvers with Adelboden 2015…………
