Jung-frau-what? A day at the top of Europe with Addiscombe Guides.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is 1st/4th Addiscombe’s adventure to the highest train station in Europe, in the form of one beautiful photo diary.
The girls on board the first of ten trains they took that day!
The scenery starting to get even more beautiful as the train pulls out of Lauterbrunnen station.
One of the Addiscombe guides stares wistfully out of the train window as it climbs higher and higher out of Kleine Scheidegg as we approach the Jungfrau.
The train stops so visitors can get a peek at the Eismeer Glacier. Unfortunately, due to the clouds, there wasn’t much to see today!
And we’re at the top! Just look at the view from 4158m up!
The Guides admiring the freezing ice palace with wonderful ice sculptures…we even caught a glimpse of Scrat from Ice Age!
Getting a chance to play out in the snow! Snowballs were (of course) thrown at the leaders!
On top of the world 😊
Sadly, all good things must come to an end. We had some tired faces on the way down!
Not tired enough to stop them from playing a few games back at the chalet before bed though!
