Well, 2nd South Hylton and 1st Elderslie are already halfway through their week in Adelboden and I’ve been so busy having fun with the two groups, I’ve hardly had a minute to breathe (let alone write a blog post!
The week got off to a great start with an action-packed trip to Kandersteg, which saw the guides cable-car-ing, toboggan-ing, swimming, walking and rowing on the stunning Oeschinensee!
On Monday, 1st Elderslie took on the Jungfrau, lunching in the snow and exploring the Ice Palace and Alpine Sensation. Meanwhile, 2nd South Hylton took the cable car up to visit the Cheesemaker and then spent the afternoon having fun in the sun at Frutigen Pool! Tuesday saw the guides visit the Woodcarver’s to collect their personalised woggles and then hike to Our Chalet (and what a special day, as there were two birthdays being celebrated- 1st Elderslie leader Joanne’s…and Our Chalet itself!)
Today, our trip to Interlaken was marked by parades, music, excitement and lots of flags…it’s Swiss National Day! The guides all shopped until they dropped, but managed to revive themselves with some sweet treats at Schuh Chocolatiers. The celebrations continue tonight with both groups heading into Adelboden village to watch the firework display.
What a week these two groups have had so far!
