We have had a wonderful day exploring the beautiful Mexico City. This morning, we visited the National Museum of Anthropology, where we viewed archaeological and anthropological artefacts from Mexico’s pre-Columbian heritage. We also had the opportunity to soak up the Mexican sunshine!

Following a perfect group shot opportunity, we headed towards the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral. We ate lunch together in a hotel restaurant overlooking the Plaza de la Constitución, with the most perfect view of the famous square where the recent James Bond film, Spectre, was filmed (note the pun – ‘spectre’cular!). We could also see the Cathedral from our lunchtime spot, still decorated with colourful flowers and banners from the Pope’s visit the day before.

After a busy day, we returned feeling a little fatigued – we are most certainly all ready for bed! There is a lot of eager anticipation for the pyramids tomorrow, so make sure you check out the next blog for a peek of our pyramid selfies!
