What a busy few days 1st Epping Guides have had! Monday saw them take a trip to the Woodcarvers and visit Our Chalet, after which they were all very tired after their long hike! On Tuesday the group visited Kandersteg, and because it was Swiss National Day, the town was especially exciting! Every year on the 1st of August, people across Switzerland celebrate the country’s National Day with parades, food and lots of fireworks, and at KISC, groups of Scouts and Guides from all over descended upon Kandersteg to celebrate! Afterwards, the group took the cable cars up to Oeschinensee and had some fun on the summer toboggan run.

Wednesday was a long but brilliant day at the Jungfraujoch. As soon as they arrived the girls were eager to head to the Snow Fun park and try their hand at snow tubing – luckily the conditions were perfect!

After a quick lunch, we headed to the Ice Palace, and afterwards it was sadly time to head home! I’ll keep everyone updated on how 1st Epping Guides round off their week in Switzerland!
