After the success of last weekend, Mickey was kind enough to have us back again for another fun-filled weekend at a still rather snowy Disneyland Paris. Fortunately the roads were all clear so the journey down was smooth.
A team of 7 VA reps welcomed groups of Brownies, Guides, Cubs and Scouts on Friday, and everyone settled into their rooms and cabins, although I’m not sure how much sleep was had – there were some very excited Brownies on the coach I met!
Saturday brought a jam-packed day of flying, spinning and loop-the-looping round the Disneyland Paris theme parks.
88th Bristol Guides win the prize for the best hats this year – you couldn’t miss 49 fluorescent bobble-hatted girls if you tried!
Needwood Guides enjoyed a buffet at the Davy Crockett Tavern on Saturday evening and had a surprise visit from goofy – who wouldn’t let me get away without a photo!
Several groups were also joined by Mickey, Pluto, Eeyore and friends at a character breakfast on Saturday or Sunday morning.
On Sunday morning some groups made the most of another visit to the theme parks, others fitted in a quick swim in the pool at the Davy Crockett Ranch, and some headed straight home.
Having waved off the coaches we bid au revoir to Mickey and Disneyland Paris for another year – and are looking forward to celebrating the Brownie Centenary in true magical style with many of you this time next year!
