The Stoke Climsland Scouts have been busy these past few days! With a camp birthday for one of the leaders (Chris) we headed to Amersfoort Zoo to celebrate the occasion with many animals including elephants, giraffes and fish (nemo). It was a successful day with everyone enjoying climbing around the zoo.
On Wednesday, the group had a unique experience with the International Day on site as there is a Ghanaian group staying on camp who performed dances as well as cooking Ghanaian dishes. The Scouts, in exchange, cooked Cornish pasties to show the Ghanaians what they’re famous for. DELICIOUS!
Today saw the group visiting Amsterdam for a canal cruise as well as a visit to the NEMO science museum. All of the Scouts loved the interactive museum watching the chain reaction show as well as participating in.
