Kandersteg International Scout Centre was packed on this special day with Scout groups from all over the world.
The day started for most of our groups with a swim in the village pool followed by activities on the camp ground. 95th Birmingham and 150th Wadsley Scouts set up stands at the Carnival providing local delicacies for others to sample. The traditional William Tell play was performed by the pinkies to a huge audience on the main playing field before preparing an almighty barbecue for over 1500 scouts! An incredible hail storm delayed the meal briefly, but the weather cleared up in time for the parade into the village.
On arrival in the village, the local band, yodelling group and Alphorns entertained us before a huge firework display.
A perfect day.
