On Tuesday the Guides made their way to Brussels for the first of their two days there. They started off by hopping on the hop on hop off bus and touring some of the sites of Brussels.  Amongst other things they got to sample some proper Belgian waffles which I’m told were thoroughly enjoyed! In the afternoon we made our way to Brupark and the Atomium. This structure was built for an expo in the 1950s and has since become an iconic part of the Brussels skyline. Despite the queues inside it did not disappoint and was just as impressive as it looked! Then mini Europe was in order, which contains miniatures of all the famous landmark found in Europe. From Buckingham Palace to the leaning Tower of Pisa, you can pretend you’re a giant all over Europe!
