So my last two groups of the season have almost finished their week in Kandersteg, so what have they been up to?
On Thursday Bassetlaw visit the Trummelbachfalles. As there’s been (slightly) less rain than the last time I went, the falls were a little calmer and the water a lot clearer, but still incredibly powerful.
After the falls we headed to Interlaken. Most of the explorers (and leaders!) headed straight for Mcdonalds! Before spending their free time browsing the shops looking for Swiss pen knives and chocolate! There’s also a nice park area where the group sat watching the para-gliders coming in to land.

This morning they headed into Kandersteg town to watch the Junfrau Rallye set off. Today and tomorrow around 80 classic cars are driving around the Berner Oberland region as part of the Jungfrau Rallye.
After a quick bit of shopping they headed back to the centre before heading up the Sunnbuel cable car to explore to mountain passes!
Thursday and Friday were also special days as Bassetlaw celebrated two Birthdays!

All of Tempest and Tornado explorers have now completed the Winteregg climbing course, hiked either the Lotschenpass trail or been on the Cheesery hike and completed the team building challenges! This evening they’ve got a pizza night planned to round off an excellent week!
Tonight was the LAST campfire of the season! Both groups performed some excellent songs! (pictures of campfire to follow shortly!)
