Yesterday it was time to wave off 2nd South Hylton and 1st Elderslie – we hope you had a fantastic trip to Switzerland!
For the second part of their week, the groups were busy enjoying themselves: On Thursday, 2nd South Hylton took a trip through history in the beautiful Oberhofen Castle. Built in the 13th century, this castle is great fun to explore and it’s also sat right on the gorgeous Lake Thun – a bonus!
Both groups tried their hand at the Silleren Climbing Tower, which offers lots of thrills and lots of views to boot! On Friday, 1st Elderslie travelled via cable car up to Engstligenalp to see how cheese is made and topped it off with a trip to Frutigen Pool in the fabulous sunshine. 2nd South Hylton rounded off their trip with a Swiss evening, featuring some delicious Swiss cuisine and even some traditional Alphorns!
Now it’s time to hop over the valley, where we welcomed Plympton Division Guides to KISC yesterday…let’s see what this lot get up to!
(A big thank you to 1st Elderslie and Trefoil Guild 13 for my thoughtful Scottish gifts, too…they’re lovely!)
