This morning, I made the final preparations for the group to arrive and the Venture Abroad flags went up.

St Mary’s Scouts have arrived this morning from Ireland. They flew to Belgium, it was very exciting, as for most, it was their first time flying. They were quick to unload the van and get lunch before they rested. We are experiencing very hot weather here, reaching 40 degrees most days, so after the luggage was unpacked they took to the shade under the tree. There was a lot of joy when the ice cream van came this afternoon!

Tomorrow we are going to Leuven, a town near to De Kluis campsite. We will be taking the train, and going swimming along with visiting a Scout Museum and Bowling…all the scouts are looking forward to swimming to help cool them down!
