The week is coming to an end very quickly now. On Thursday, 43rd Northampton Scouts had a bit of a rest day on site. A full tent inspection was on the cards for the scouts – when I visited their site mid-inspection, they had turned the contents of their tent outside! That’s one way to do it!
The evening saw the scouts cooking dinner on open fires. ‘We cooked minced beef and chopped carrots. We even cooked jacket potatoes on the fire!’ one Scout told me. Another said that they topped of the cooking with toasting marshmallows! All the scouts that I spoke to were very excited to have cooked dinner on open fires!
What is your favourite thing to cook on a campfire?
