After arriving yesterday, both groups have had plenty to keep them busy today. This morning Gibraltar Guides journeyed to the top of the Engstligenalp by cable car to see how traditional Swiss mountain cheese is made. There were a few obstacles to overcome however as we had to plough our way through a herd of cows to reach the entrance!

After an interesting morning, the Guides enjoyed a picnic before descending back to Adelboden to visit Our Chalet in the afternoon.

A visit to the cheesemaker is also on the cards later in the week for Dearne District Guides, who visited Our Chalet this morning, with the young leaders making the most of the occasion and making their promise in a memorable place. This afternoon saw a hike to the Woodcarver, where they collected their personalised woggles and enjoyed a cooling drink in the café next door.

Both groups head to Kandersteg tomorrow for a trip to the highest lake in Europe!
