This week has been another busy one and both groups have made the most of the weather while it lasted!

Visits to our Chalet and the Woodcarver were on the cards for both groups and they were all very pleased with their personalized woggles!

On Sunday 1st Aston Clinton headed to Kandersteg for a tour of the scout centre (don’t forget the bins!) and a visit to the Oeschinnensee glacial lake and an exciting toboggan run!

Some guides even enjoyed a paddle!

Meanwhile Emsworth Guides and Rangers visited the WAGGGS Centre in Adelboden, Our Chalet.

A soggy day on Monday was complimented by more waterfalls for Aston Clinton Guides in Lauterbrunnen and Emsworth enjoyed some gorgeous cake after a trip to the Woodcarver.

Tuesday saw Emsworth travel up the Tschentenalp by cable car to enjoy spectacular views of Adelboden, sample the local hot chocolate, and was a perfect place for Jenny to make her promise as a young leader and another was made in the cable car on the way down, after we had finally managed to lure the girls away from the adventure playground!DSCN0455

the views were impressive too, and we could see the destination of Aston Clinton Guides, who headed up on a different cable car to the cheesemaker!

Then Emsworth headed back to their chalet for their very own chocolate evening, thank you for letting me join you ladies, it was a great evening!

The theme of Chocolate was continued today as Aston Clinton visited Interlaken and the Schuh Chocolatier for the chocolate show, as well as spending the morning on Lake Thun (on a boat!) and visiting St Beatus’ Caves. Emsworth zipwired their way across the river valley in Adelboden at the adventure park and sauntered back to their chalet for a relaxed afternoon.

Both groups are looking forward to the Swiss Evening in store tomorrow, and I’d like to wish a few of the guides waiting on A2/AS level results the best of luck.

More to come 🙂
