So the third week is already flying by despite both 1st Earls Barton and 9th Airedale Scouts having such bust schedules!

Sunday both groups took the gondola to Oeschinensee. It’s almost traditional to do this on Sunday – I’m sure every group has!

Monday was spent in Bern, both groups visited. 9th Airdale split into two groups and visited the ‘Adventure Rooms’, a game played in two teams who are pitted against each other. The aim is to escape your team’s room first by completing a serious of challenges. I’m not explaining it very well but the guys thought it was amazing and would really recommend it!

I followed on with 1st Earls Barton on a trail through Bern looking at the Cathedral, the famous Clock and the Bears!

All in all a great day in Bern – any day in Switzerland is great when the sun shines!

Today some of 9th Airedale set off on their overnight hikes and those left enjoyed the high ropes! I remember some of these back in Belgium where scared of even the smallest tree climb yet today they mastered some pretty though high ropes!

1st Earls Barton set off back up to Oeschinensee and made the most of our second day of good weather to get a go on the tobogganing! Personally it’s my favourite part of Kandersteg and despite a few friction burns I think Earls Barton might agree!

We hiked back down to the campsite in small groups and some of us got to see a helicopter land on our path! Don’t panic it wasn’t for an emergency!

Tomorrow morning some of Earls Barton head of for their over night hike, the others set off at 2pm. Good luck guys! 9th Airedale return and some are heading up on to the Via Farrata. I’m sure they’ll be some amazing pictures from that! It’s also the International Scout Disco tomorrow evening!
