So the past few days have been just as busy for both groups. On Wednesday, the Guides visited Brussels for the day and combined the hop on, hop off City Bus Tour with a lot of waffles. The Scouts thoroughly enjoyed their hike and canoe, and it really did leave them exhausted – although that didn’t stop them from a good old sing song around the camp.
Both groups visited Walibi World Theme Park yesterday and both leaders and kids had a great time. It was a scorching hot day making the water rides a must! Today, both groups last day was spent in Leuven. the scouts visited the climbing centre for some climbing and caving. the girls spent the morning and early afternoon shopping in Leuven spending a lot of money, but getting presents sorted for everyone at home. Both groups then headed up to the swimming pool at Sportoase. The pool had a large inflatable assault course, which the leaders attempted (and failed) to acomplish. The Guides took part in some of the pool competitions run by the life guards. Helena came first in the ‘Biggest Splash’ with Sorcga placing second. the girls also attempted the speed race down the flumes.
Tomorrow I will say goodbye to the two groups and welcome my final two groups for the last week of the season! The sunshine has gone and it rained a bit yesterday and today so Titan Explorer Scouts and Somerset County Scouts, could you bring the sunshine with you please?
