Scout groups have been here, there and everywhere else over the last few days and from the impressions I get they’re all having a super fun time!
Monday and Tuesday saw three of the groups make the trip up to Oeschinensee, some making the very steep hike and others taking a jolly ride in the cable car. The fun included some scary speeds and races on the summer sled run, as well as lots of paddling in the lake, which of course inevitably turned into a water fight with everyone getting soaked…. my personal favourite technique being the belly-flop which was very efficient at soaking everyone in the surrounding area while other leaders preferred the sit-down bomb!
Other activities that have been taking place include hiking in the Gasterntal valley and over the Lotchenpass to the other side of the mountains. While other scouts and explorers have been making lots of bracelets and woggles in multi-crafts, zip-wiring through the pine trees and running down huge rocks whilst abseiling.
The advanced Canyoning has been giving a lot of the explorers a thrill in the last few days as they’ve been jumping and sliding into huge pools of freezing cold water and more than likely scaring themselves silly!
A very fun few days I must say and I’m sure they will continue for the remaining few weeks here at KISC!!
