It has been an activity filled few days for our Guides and Scouts.

With both groups spending Monday in Amersfoort, the Walthamstow Guides tackled the High Ropes and then returned back to Baarn to get in touch with their creative side and paint some Clogs. The Swanwick Scouts, however, attempted to canoe around the Medieval town. After getting slightly wet in the rain they dried off at the zoo where we managed to see an array of different animals.

Tuesday, both groups spent the day on the campsite doing Biking, leatherwork and swimming.

Wednesday, the Walthamstow Guides continued their activities on site with geocaching and getting involved in the international day at the camp and then finishing off by going to the international campfire on site for which they had prepared a song to perform. The Swanwick Scouts spent the day exploring Amsterdam. With an early start they headed to the Anne Frank House, after which there was a quick stop for Dutch Pancakes before heading to the Amsterdam Dungeons which saw a few scared faces! The day was finished off by visiting the NEMO Science Museum before heading back on the train.

It has been a busy but successful few days and we can only look forward to the days to come.
