The past few days here at De Kluis have been very busy!
On Wednesday, St Eugenes Scout group hired BMX bikes for the day and headed off into the forest to explore – we spent the whole day out biking and managed to cycle through to Zoet Water and back again, through many hills and lots and lots of mud!
On Thursday, Maryculter Scouts burnt off some energy at Oceade water park in Brussels. After a morning of fun, we headed to the EU parliament for a tour around the hemicycle. Sitting in the seats of prime ministers, we had our questions answered and all parts of the building pointed out. There were even translation booths for all 24 recognised languages of the EU!
Yesterday was the last full day for both groups and we spent it all together in Walibi theme park. What an adrenaline filled way to end the week!
For St Eugenes, the competition was on in a master chef style cook off between the girls and boys! Both teams worked hard and produced some great 3 course dishes!
Today is departing day. It is time for the groups to pack up and begin the journey home. I hope both groups have had a great week! Thank you very much for being such great groups for me in my first week in resort.
Safe journey home and bring on the rest of the summer!!
