So Since I last updated it’s been another very busy couple of days!

I accompanied Stratton to Brussels where we took in the delights through a walking tour of the town. This was great because I saw a lot more of the city than I did the first time I went all those weeks ago at the start of the season. We saw the Manakin Pis, ate Waffels, went to the Cathedral and evenvisited the top of a multistory carpark (which was to gain a great cost free vista over the entire City).

Back on Camp, Walsall Sea Scouts were out on BMX bikes looking for Geocaches around the forest. Their day got cut short though due to a storm coming in, which flash flooded the site and the main building at De Kluis. Thankfully though it was no where near as bad as it was at the festivals that were reported in the news. So after a night of helping clear water out of the main building and moving wet kit to be dried, we had some lovely calzone pizzas cooked for us by some of the Stratton leaders and could sleep easy!

Friday was a lot drier and Stratton were on the adventure ropes course whilst Walsall went into Leuven to have another go in the tunneling and to try the Via Ferrata at the climbing centre. The Via ferrata was great fun, despite some wobbly logs and small edges to walk along!

All in all everyone had a great week despite the rain at the end and it was all capped off with a large (well we had to get rid of some of the fallen down trees) campfire on friday evening before tidying up and packing for departure on Saturday.
