First a round up from last night. After dinner the girls were treated to a French night where they got to practise their French language skills before making, and eating pancakes; or should that be crepes!? Then it was onto the games room for an indoor camp fire! The camp fire basically consisted of a good old fashioned sign along! All the Guiding favourites were out – some old and some new. Not everyone knew all the songs but everyone, including Lindsay and I had a great time.

Today we’ve been to Bruge where we went to the Choco-Story Museum and went on a Canal Cruise. We arrived in Bruge and made our way through the winding streets to Choco-Story. Everyone had a great time, especially at the chocolate making demonstration and tasting! Then it was on to the shop where everyone spent more than a few Euros! We had lunch by the canal and then made our way back through the main market square to where we boarded the boat. With the boat jam packed with Guides, Leaders, our Le Chateau Guide and myself we set off. Everyone was very excited and this was made clear to anyone who happened to pass us – this included other boats, passers by on the bank, on bridges or just looking out of their window – with loud screams and Jazz hands at every turn! It was certainly the most fun I’ve ever had on a canal cruise! For the rest of the day the Guides wandered off to discover what Bruge had to offer while the leaders sat back and relaxed for an hour or two before we set off for home.

Tonight is mini olympics and tomorrow its the water park – there will be more on that tomorrow!
