Worcester Explorers and Black Pear Network have arrived!

Yesterday everyone hiked up to Oeschinensee (yes – you read that right. They hiked up and they did it in the rain!! Well done guys!). Luckily the rain stopped in time for a quick race around the rodelbahn and a swim in the lake!

Today everyone split in to different groups for their activities. Two groups headed off to Interlaken for a day of canyoning! Canyoning involves decending through water torrents in canyons by abseiling, jumping or generally sliding your way along. Sounds like great fun to me, what do you think?

Another two groups headed off to some whitewater rafting whilst one group took a slightly more relaxed river tubing trip. I joined some of the leaders on a trip up the Neisen Funicular. The views were incredible (although a little cloudy at times). We could see all the way to Thun and a cross the lake to Interlaken, unfortunately it was too cloudy the other side to see Frutigen. I can’t upload any photos at the moment but will update as soon as possible with the lovely view from the top.

Tomorrow everyone heads off on overnight hikes – I look forward to sharing their adventures with you on Thursday!
