Today Market Drayton completed the cheesery hike…… the leaders felt it was a tough walk but worth it for the cheese! However the explorers stated it was easy; and the cheese was blooming lovely!!! Said Alister (Explorer Scout) There weren’t many explorers left when I arrived to greet them from their hike as they’d gone straight to the pool to cool off!
Other quotes over heard “awesome views, best milk ever tried, shame about the smell you could tell cows lived there!”
South Leicester district went for the wetter option today of rafting and with only one going for a swim I think they did well! Don’t think Charlie will lean backwards to get his hair wet again though! Perfect weather and all are in very high spirits!
Then it was time for the international evening…….. Memories of my childhood and Paddington Bear were brought back with 2nd Market Drayton’s Marmalade Sandwiches and I’m looking forward to hearing the results of South Leicester’s badge swapping competition!
I’m signing off now for an early night as i’m off to meet South Leicester district at 7.30am tomorrow for a trip to the High Ropes at Interlaken.
