This week the Swiss mountains are calling Girlguiding Ribble Valley Division, on their fun-filled snowy adventure at Kandersteg International Scout Centre.

Leader Harriet keeps us updated on their trip.

Icy igloo building

We loved making igloos and a snow fort on day 3!  After a busy morning and extra hot chocolate to keep warm, purple group spent the afternoon building  brilliant den.  We learnt how to make blocks and the right way to build with them, and at the end a door was cut in that had to be kicked out by Megan. What a great experience – and all in the back garden of our block at Kandersteg International Scout Centre!

Around the campfire

Girlguiding Ribble Valley has an incredible international night experiencing various activities, including making chocolate orange cakes cooked in their campfire and Swiss cheese fondue. The group of adventurous Guides and Rangers had had a busy day cross country skiing, learning snow survival skills and fire lighting on their penultimate night.

Roll on the trip to Our Chalet.
