With the early start this morning, it’s surprising we are still awake, but luckily transport was as efficient as ever in Switzerland and all went well (despite several long waits).
The bus to Adelboden was packed with guides and we had our big rucksacks on, so my legs were aching. When we got off our rep came and took our bags and drove them to our chalet; it was like tonnes had been lifted off our shoulders!
At the chalet some of the leaders were despatched to the local shop for supplies. Always an interesting experience shopping in German. But luckily, Judith’s German was sufficient to order us 21 rolls to be picked up tomorrow morning. Then, Anna managed to get her knickers (sorry her necker) in her dinner.
A final surprising thing: Inflation in Switzerland has caused “spending a penny” to rise to spending 2 Swiss francs!!
