Trummelbach Falls - the melting waters of the Jungfrau massif crash through a narrow cleft in the side of the Lauterbrunnen Valley.

Lauterbrunnen - this village is a good base for a number of excursions. Just outside the village lie the Staubbach Falls, where wispy threads of spray cascade down the sheer face of the western ridge. It is one of the many waterfalls in the valley and the longest free-falling waterfall in Europe.

Jungfraujoch - the trip to the Jungfraujoch by railway is the highest in Europe and although it is well worth a visit, is only worth undertaking if weather conditions are favourable.

Schilthorn - the view from the top of the peak provides a perfect viewing platform from which to gaze at the mountains across the valley. The spectacular location has also featured in the James Bond film 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'.

Bern - this city enriched in its Medieval past, is both a historical and cultural place to visit. Much of the Medieval part of Bern is still intact and you can stroll through the streets and admire the picturesque clocks and fountains, decorated with flowers and statues.

Lake Brienz & Lake Thun - a boat tour of Lake Thun (Thunersee) or Lake Brienz (Brienzersee) are popular excursions.
