Venture Abroad have long been serving the needs of the Trefoil Guild, and have built up a relationship with many members of the Guild over the years. At all stages of your trip our friendly office staff will be there to advise you, and we'll be there in person to join in the festivities of the AGM!

Venture Abroad is delighted to offer members of the Trefoil Guild a once in a lifetime opportunity of a tour to the World Centre, Sangam, in India. This exciting visit will not only allow you to experience a World Centre and meet with members of the Guide Association from across the world, but will also enable you to experience a true taste of Indian culture. The post tour encompasses many of the highlights for which India is renowned and will include visits to Agra, Jaipur and Delhi.

The county of Shropshire offers an unspoilt and tranquil setting with a variety of attractions to visit including historic houses and castles with beautiful gardens, the famous Ironbridge, museums and beautiful countryside. It is also home to many traditional market towns including gourmet Ludlow and the county town of Shrewsbury.

The AGM host town, Telford, named after the famous engineer, is the largest town in Shropshire. The town was built in the 1960s and 1970s as a new town on previously industrial and agricultural land. The town incorporates the northern half of the Ironbridge Gorge, a scenic destination and UNESCO world heritage site. The 2009 AGM venue, the International Centre, is situated less than a mile from Telford Town Centre and within walking distance of Telford Town Central Railway Station.

Venture Abroad are delighted to offer an extension of your stay in Shropshire with a 2 night break following the AGM weekend from the 8th – 10th June 2009. Why not spend a few days before the AGM discovering the beautiful and historic city of Chester and its surroundings. Chester is famous for its cobbled streets, 13th Century timbered buildings, being home to the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain and, of course, its glorious cathedral.

The Italian capital is undoubtedly one of Europe’s most fascinating cities thanks to the combination of its legendary past and magnificent present. With wonderful history, culture and architecture, in three thousand years Rome has survived being burned, conquered, looted and occupied. Today, with its wealth of art and architecture, ancient remains, myths and legends, statues and museums, a visit to this city is truly unforgettable.

The Italian Sorrento Peninsula is one of the most stunning areas of Europe with a dramatic coastline and magnificent views across the Bay of Naples. Overlooked by the towering Mount Vesuvius, the nearby Roman city of Pompeii lies in ruins, destroyed by the volcano but preserved for posterity. Sorrento itself is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area & the breathtaking Amalfi Coast.

Venture Abroad has been arranging holidays to Adelboden for members of the Guiding movement for over forty years and we are delighted to be offering one of our ever popular tours for 2009. Lying deep in the heart of Switzerland in the picturesque region of the Bernese Oberland, Adelboden is treasured by all members of the guide movement. This beautiful village lies 1400 metres above sea level in the valley of the Engstligen. Traditionally Swiss, surrounded by snow capped mountains, the village centre is one long, narrow street abundant with quaint little shops selling local goods and a variety of souvenirs and unique gifts. Also to be found are various cafes and small eateries. During your stay, you will explore the beautiful surrounding region by coach, cable car, boat and train. You will be in awe of the wondrous scenery which provides the stunning background throughout your journeys and either discover or rediscover why Switzerland is adored by so many. You will receive a special souvenir from the famous woodcarver to commemorate your stay in Adelboden, the highlight of which, for many, will be a visit to Our Chalet; where a 2 night stay is optional.
