Switzerland - KISC

Lord Baden-Powell dreamed of a place where Scouts and Guides from across the world could meet, where a ‘permanent mini-Jamboree’ could exist and where international friendship and fun combined with adventure. That dream founded Kandersteg International Scout Centre which, 92 years later, welcomes over 12,000 Scouts and Guides from across the world every year.
From the moment you step off your coach into the stunning surroundings of the Bernese Oberland, in the heart of the Swiss Alps, you’ll become part of the KISC way of life. You’ll be transported into a world of new sights, sounds and nationalities as you try your best to explore all that this centre has to offer. After hiking the Swiss glaciers found on the towering snow-capped mountains, white water rafting through the thundering rapids, or canoeing on the richest turquoise lake you’ve ever seen, it’s back to camp to experience the essence of KISC by taking part in the legendary international campfire. Hundreds of activities guarantee something for everyone at KISC and ensure your days are packed with adventure, leaving your Scouts wanting to return year after year!
Kanderactive Programme
Kandersteg International Scout Centre offers an excellent variety of activities and excursions to ensure that your group has the experience of a lifetime. With the vast array of activities suitable all year round, there’s certain to be something for your group to take part in, whatever the weather! The programme is based around different themes which include International Friendship, High Adventure and Eco Adventure.
KISC base many of the activities around scouting awards and badges, so not only do the group get to travel abroad with their friends, there is also the opportunity to work towards an award programme.
