Venture Abroad have a partnership with and are sponsors of the Scout Association. We meet regularly to discuss ways of increasing international opportunities and to ensure that the knowledge, skills and advice that we provide to Scout groups is first rate. We also have donated funds to help groups meet the costs of overseas trips - contact the Fundraising or International Department at Gilwell quoting VA Grant.
Belgium
Destinations:
The friendly and welcoming people, the stunning architecture, incredible cuisine and energetic and carefree culture makes Belgium a country that you won't want to leave.
The country is situated between France and Holland and has a vast array of sights to be seen, whether you like your diamonds, chocolate or beer there is something for everyone.
Canada
Destinations:
The fourth largest country in the world but with a population less than that of London, Canada is a superb destination and offers excellent value for money. Canada has something for everyone's tastes and the welcome is warm and friendly. Whilst in Canada wildlife viewing is a must.
Croatia
Destinations:
Situated on the gulf of the crystal clear, clean blue Adriatic Sea, Croatia has a thousand years of history of different cultures that have absorbed into the country, leaving imprints on the country's culture, making it one of the richest in Europe.
Croatian food is a mix of these different cultures from Turkish, Greek, French and Italian, giving visitors a wide variety of sumptuous cuisine.
France

France offers an eclectic mix of culture, world famous cuisine and vibrant atmosphere. The country has a history worth visiting and a cosmopolitan side that is transforming the generations of today. With much to see and do, France is sure to keep you on your toes, exploring the sights and tasting the fascinating cuisine.
Iceland

Rapidly becoming one of Europe's hottest destinations, Iceland is overflowing with natural features, which include glaciers, hot springs, geysers, active volcanoes, portentous peaks and vast lava deserts. Iceland's folklore tradition history remains strong and groups can explore the rich history of the country.
New Zealand

New Zealand's awesome landscapes, National Parks, amazing wildlife and pleasant climate make it a haven for many outdoor activities
The society is diverse, sophisticated, and multicultural, and the honesty, friendliness, and openness of the people will impress you and your group
Norway
Destinations:
Career down the falls and rapids of the River Orta, climb down the rocks, or keep your feet on the ground and improve your aim in an archery class. Adventure can be found in the wide variety of activities available, from rafting (for the real thrill seekers) to simply following the vast number of hiking trails which allow you to admire the spectacular variety of natural scenery Norway has to offer.
Spain
Destinations:
Spain is one of the most diverse and visually stunning nations of Europe. Narrow winding old streets open out to views of daring modern architecture, fascinating sights, beautiful landscapes, and charming towns.
The people of Spain are very relaxed and you may find yourself following suit as you and your group soak up the culture and feast on the delicious food.
Switzerland
Destinations:
Lakes, lush valleys, dramatic mountain peaks and awesome glaciers. Switzerland has them all, with some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe, whatever the time of year. With tours to Adelboden, Kandersteg, Grindelwald and Interlaken, this small and beautiful country has a wealth of activities and attractions all year round for visitors of all ages and interests.
