There is so much to do in Adelboden including ice skating, swimming in the local outdoor pool, taking a stroll along the scenic walking paths, cycling and indoor rock climbing, whilst many of our groups enjoy sampling some of the local cuisine, including the famous Swiss fondue. Once you discover the beauty of Adelboden, complete with its reliable and unique public transport system, you won’t believe there will be enough hours in the day to fully explore this stunning and unforgettable destination.

Experience the freedom of travelling around the region via the Swiss transport system! The Bernese Oberland Pass lets you explore all those hidden gems that Switzerland has to offer. By using all different methods of transport including bus, train, boat, cable car and funicular you can travel from your resort and see the region’s spectacular scenery without being restricted by your coach. We can pre book your journeys in advance of your travel, so you don’t have to worry about finding enough seats for your group once on the train. This transport system is just perfect for groups wanting to explore!

We have highlighted below just some of the adventures you can discover with your group:

Jungfraujoch - Take a train to the top of the Jungfrau, the highest mountain railway in Europe! Once at the top you can rent everything you need to enjoy the Ski & Snowboard Park or even enjoy some sledging by hiring a snow disc. Take some time to wander around the Ice Palace where you will see a wide variety of amazing ice sculptures from birds to cars.

Schynige Platte - For hiking fans - Schynige Platte, at an of altitude 1967 metres, is surrounded by an incredibly impressive mountain world. An excellent excursion destination and starting point for a host of hikes. On your journey to the peak you will see fertile forests, Alpine pastures, breathtaking views of the Bernese Oberland with Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and the imposing peaks of the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau.

Oeschinensee - The simplest excursion from the village of Kandersteg is to take the chair lift over the green pastures to the heights above, from where a short walk brings you to the Oeschinensee, one of Switzerland’s prettiest mountain lakes, dominated by the snowy heights of the Blümlisalp. From the summit station of the nostalgic Kandersteg-Oeschinen chairlift you walk along a well-prepared natural road through pine forests and Alpine meadows to the deep blue Oeschinensee (Lake Oeschinen).

Venture Abroad Swiss Evening

Venture Abroad will be arranging a Swiss evening at a local hotel every Thursday evening. The evening will allow groups to experience traditional Swiss culture including a delicious cheese fondue and entertainment by a local yodelling group. Supplementary costs are applicable.

Pool Party

Venture Abroad will be inviting all of our guests staying in all Bernese Oberland resorts to a complimentary evening of fun and games at our open air pool party in Adelboden. This will take place on a weekly basis and there will also be an optional barbeque for all guests at a supplementary cost.

Venture Abroad can provide various different catering options, which ensures that we can meet the needs of all our groups.

Free grocery delivery: Just let us know what groceries you require and we will deliver them to the chalet ready for your arrival. The cost of the groceries will be payable on arrival to your resort representative.

Food packages: You can buy a set daily catering option from our choice of menus to include the ingredients for two cold and one hot meal. This will be paid for prior to departure and delivered to you in resort.

Hot food delivery: We can arrange for hot meals to be delivered to your chalet when you return from the adventures of the day. Prices start from £7.00 per person for a three course meal. Advance order required.

Swiss Chalets

Your group will have the sole use of one of our traditional Swiss chalets located in the lush, green hills surrounding Adelboden Village and just a 15 minute walk from Our Chalet. Each chalet is ideal for groups of 20-30 people and is equipped with modern kitchen facilities. For alternative group sizes, please contact us and we will be happy to offer substitute accommodation options for your group depending on your requirements.
