Switzerland - Adelboden & Our Chalet
In the summer the mountainous landscape of the Bernese Oberland invites you to enjoy over 300 kilometres of well-groomed hiking and mountain biking trails from where you will experience spectacular panoramic views of the unspoilt alpine landscapes and traditional Swiss chalets below. The idyllic village of Adelboden is picture-perfect in every way and as the home to the WAGGGS World Centre, Our Chalet, it is the perfect summer holiday destination for Guide and Senior Section groups.
There is so much to do in and around Adelboden that there will never be a dull moment and with the reliable and unique public transport system, getting around the region couldn’t be any easier! When the sun is out opt for swimming in the local outdoor pool, cycling and river rafting and if the rain passes through for a short time then pack your day full of activities such as indoor rock climbing or ice skating. Sampling some of the local cuisine, including the famous Swiss fondue, is always a fun evening activity and comes highly recommended by our representatives who are always on-hand to offer you advise or just a friendly face.
