As the Guides return from Switzerland...

Over 650 Guides and adult members have returned from the Great Guide Getaway to Switzerland, where they have joined in celebrations of 100 years of Girlguiding.

On this trip of a lifetime, the guides found themselves participating in activities such as igloo building, snow-shoe walking, ice-skating, snowman building, and a visit to the Top of Europe, Jungfrau. But for many the highlight of the tour was a chance to visit the WAGGGS World Centre, Our Chalet in Adelboden.

 

On Friday 19^th February, everyone gathered together to celebrate the Centenary and World Thinking Day.  The finale of the Great Guide Getaway to Switzerland allowed the guides to participate in lots of games, winning a whole host of prizes. 

 

It was here that Venture Abroad offered them the chance to draw a raffle ticket with a chance to win the fabulous Great Guide Travel Kit, including holdall, digital camera, passport holder, travel journal, and much more.
