Venture Abroad works closely with Our Cabaña to send groups to Mexico to participate in varied and enjoyable programmes which explore the diversity of the Mexican cultures and traditions.

The culture of the country and the international composition of the staff members at the centre blends together to produce a program that is unique to Mexico, unique to Our Cabaña, and unique to your time of visit.

Located in a residential area on the outskirts of Cuernavaca, Our Cabaña is set amongst over five acres of tropical gardens, offering a tranquil stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1 – Fly to Mexico City, travel to Our Cabaña which is your base for the next 6 days.
DAY 2 – Take part in programmes at Our Cabaña
DAY 3 – Take part in a local Service Project.
DAY 4 – A morning of sightseeing in Cuernavaca, followed by an afternoon at Our Cabaña
DAY 5 - A full day to explore the silver city of Taxco.
DAY 6 – Final day at Our Cabaña is spent taking part in a programme.
DAY 7 – Travel to Mexico City and take in the main sights on a bus tour. Stay overnight at Ticalli.
DAY 8 - Enjoy the Sun and Moon Pyramids Excursion. Evening departure back to the UK

Prices are based on full board accommodation whilst in Our Cabaña, giving you greater flexibility when planning your activities. ?You stay in Ticalli is based on bed and breakfast accommodation.

What's Included

• ATOL protected return scheduled flights from the UK to Mexico City including taxes and ticketing fees

• All programming at Our Cabaña and fees required for excursions and crafts during your stay – please note that prices are based on youth groups and only the first two adults qualify for the same price. Any additional adults (19 yrs+) pay a supplement of £60 per person.

Our Cabaña

Our Cabaña provides dormitory style accommodation for your Guides. A common dining room where all meals are served during your stay provides further opportunities for your unit to mix with other Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from many different nations.

Ticalli

Ticalli is the perfect place for your group to stay whilst enjoying the sights and sounds of Mexico City. A Girl Guide Hostel owned and operated by ‘Guías de México’ is located centrally, just one block from one of the main avenues in Mexico City, the Paseo de la Reforma. Surrounded by restaurants, churches, museums and Chapultepec Park, and with great public transport links close by, there is no better place to stay in the capital city than at Ticalli.
