Sample Itinerary

This sample itinerary is an example only and is provided as inspiration for your discussions with your group.

Day 1: Travel from the UK to Canada arriving in Toronto from where you will be transferred to Toronto Downtown International Youth Hostel.

Day 2: Today, you can get to know the city with your local guide who will show you around Toronto and assist with buying travel tickets for the week. After your day of city exploration, you can enjoy an evening meal - the Rainforest Cafe is a popular choice with our groups!

Day 3: Today, you can explore more of the city with a visit to the tourist hot spots. Ascend the CN Tower for spectacular views of the cityscape and head over to the Rogers Centre, home to the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball team. Why not catch a game of baseball in the evening? It's the perfect way to enjoy a little of the local culture!

Day 4: Today you could visit the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre where you can take part in a variety of practical educational sessions. After lunch you could travel to Discovery Harbour where a costumed guide will take you back in time to learn more about 19th century military and naval forces in this area. Back at the hostel, take part in an evening activity organised by the staff.

Day 5: Take a canoeing trip around Toronto islands - a great way to discover Toronto from the water! You can also try your hand at stand-up paddle boarding.

Day 6: Why not spend the day at the 39-hectare waterfront park Ontario Place which also contains the only downtown waterpark with plenty of waterslides? The evening could be spent in Chinatown where you could enjoy a group meal at a local restaurant.

Day 7: A trip to Canada would not be complete without a visit to the world famous Niagara Falls.

Day 8: Begin your return journey to the UK.

You'll stay in dormitory-style accommodation at Downtown Toronto International Hostel, located in the heart of Toronto - the perfect base for exploring the city! Toronto's main attractions, including the CN Tower and St Lawrence Market, are all within walking distance.

With a common room, cafe and patio area, there is plenty of space for your group to chill out and socialise after a day of exploring the city.
