Germany - Scout Castle Rieneck
*prices based on a minimum 40 passengers per departure
Experience a Scout camp with a difference! Situated approximately 60 miles south east of Frankfurt am Main, the Scout and Guide Castle Rieneck offers groups a fantastic camping holiday in the heart of Europe. Set in marvellous surroundings, picturesque and unspoiled countryside, Castle Rieneck is a perfect base for camping, hiking and cycling your way across rural Germany.
Dating back to 1169, the castle retains its medieval feel and many of the activities at the castle have their roots in this period. Your Troop will have a truly unique experience as they take part in medieval style activities which include a knights’ tournament, constructing a life size catapult, recreating medical artifacts or trying your hand at the traditional game of Tafl, all within the castle walls.
Our Team's Top Activities...
- Knights’ Tournament
- Catapult Building
An absolute must do activity for those staying at Castle Rieneck. Work your way around the castle as you test both your physical and mental ability and compete in different activities including archery, tower building and sack fights!
Pool your ideas to form a construction plan, before attempting to turn two and three meter long poles into a robust catapult. Work together and test your knot knowledge before finding out which team’s creation throws the furthest.
