Sangam is one of the four World Centres owned and operated by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. The word Sangam means ‘coming together’ in the ancient language of Sanskrit and the centre provides you with a fantastic opportunity to meet other guiders. Here you will be able to explore India through visits to surrounding community projects, the vibrant markets of Pune or many other local places of interest. A stay at Sangam is the perfect way to acclimatise before beginning your adventure to Agra and Delhi.
Delhi:
Delhi is the political capital of India and is a perfect example of the sights, smells, sounds and culture you expect to find in India. As well as sightseeing, Delhi is a haven for shopping and tasting some of the country’s finest cuisine – it really is a city like no other!
Agra:
This medieval city sits on the banks of the Yamuna River and is home to one of India’s most famous landmark, the Taj Mahal. As well as this spectacular landmark there are plenty of other UNESCO World Heritage Sites for you to explore before you leave the city, such as the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri,
